These terms are between you and Illusio Solution LLC ("we"), who run mapsmaze. By playing you agree to them; if you don't, please don't play. Questions: info@mapsmaze.com.
The game
mapsmaze is a free game: study a map, then find your way through a city drawn from open map data. We may change, add or remove parts of it, or stop running it.
Not for real navigation
Don't use mapsmaze to find your way in the real world. Its streets come from volunteer-made map data and may be wrong, out of date or simplified; it knows nothing about traffic, closures or safety. Play it sitting down, not while walking or driving.
Your account
- You can play as a guest or sign in with Google. Keep your devices secure; anyone using your signed-in browser can play as you.
- You can delete your account at any time from the account panel.
- You must be at least 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live) to sign in.
Names
Display names are public. Don't pick one that's offensive, impersonates someone, or advertises. We may change or remove names that break this, without notice.
Fair play
Play the rounds yourself, with the game as it comes. Scripting, automating, modifying the game or its requests, or exploiting bugs to get a score isn't allowed. We check runs and may remove scores, leaderboard entries or accounts that we believe weren't played fairly. Please tell us about bugs you find instead of using them.
Don't misuse the service
Don't overload, probe or attack our servers, get around rate limits, or use our services to fetch map or search data for other purposes.
Map data and credits
Street and building data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence. Map tiles by OpenFreeMap. The game, its look and its code are ours.
No warranty
mapsmaze is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that scores and history will never be lost.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from using the game in ways these terms warn against. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; if a change matters, we'll say so in the game, and continuing to play means you accept it. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. You can stop at any time by deleting your account.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without taking away protections your own country's law gives you as a consumer.
